Justice Group

Social justice has to do with changing the systems and culture in a society. St Bernard’s Justice Group endeavours to do this by raising Parishioners’ awareness of current justice issues, and by bringing Catholic justice principles to the attention of Governments and institutions.

The Group’s purpose is to advocate on behalf of the less fortunate, marginalised or voiceless and to co-ordinate our efforts with other like-minded organisations.

The intention is to highlight a justice issue each month – perhaps something nominated by Pope Francis, or some other topical issue impacting our community or broader Australian society. These issues are included in the Parish Bulletin and parishioners are invited to take supportive action where appropriate.
