The Jubilee of Artists rejoices with gratitude at the creative insights artists bring to human life. The service of beauty is a pathway into the divine and helps us dream of new horizons for the common good. The Jubilee invites artists to contribute to the work of the Church in bringing about a New Creation where people can live in peace and justice.
We would like to encourage artists to submit their entries for the Art Show – closing date is September 14.
Jubilee of Hope: An Art Show Celebrating Gratitude, Renewal and Community
At St. Bernard’s Church, Belmont
October 25th and 26th 2025
Theme: The Year of Jubilee - A time of liberation, forgiveness, and new beginnings.
Exhibition Opening: A celebratory evening with light refreshments, music and an opportunity to engage with the community.
Purpose of the Exhibition:
To provide a platform for parishioners to share their creative talents.
To foster a sense of community and connection through art.
To encourage reflection on the themes of the Year of Jubilee.
To beautify the parish space and inspire those who visit.
Exhibition Description:
This art show, Jubilee of Hope invites parishioners to explore the rich themes of the Year of Jubilee through their creative expressions. We encourage artists of all ages and skill levels to submit artwork that reflects the spirit of renewal, liberation, gratitude and community celebrated during this special time.
Artists may draw inspiration from these three themes of the Jubilee:
Gratitude: Joyful expressions of thankfulness and the abundance of God’s blessings
Renewal: Imagery of healing, restoration and fresh beginnings
Community: Reflections on unity, care for the marginalized and social harmony
Call for Artists:
We invite all members of the parish to participate in the Jubilee of Hope Art Show
Submission forms available on St. Bernard’s website, in the church foyer, the parish office or QR code.
Guidelines:
Each artist may submit up to 2 pieces.
Artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist.
All artwork must be ready for display (framed, mounted, ready for hanging).
A brief artist statement explaining the artwork's connection to the Jubilee theme is encouraged.
Artwork to be of a reasonable size
Due date for applications September 14.
Opening Celebration: A chance to connect with fellow artists and parishioners, enjoy music, and celebrate the creative spirit of the community.
