Sacrament Stoles

Children receiving their sacraments are required to wear a stole which is re-used at each sacrament, with the sacrament represented on the stole in the form of a symbol.

At infant Baptisms you will be provided with a short stole. Older children being Baptised and children receiving the Sacraments will need to make or purchase a stole, which they will then reuse for further sacraments, adding additional symbols for Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.

A name is required on one side and the symbols are on the other. Sacrament dates can also be added if you wish.

There are a number of options. You can purchase a white ribbon/sash and use this as a blank canvas and paint, cut fabric or felt, sew, glue or embellish however you wish, your child’s name and required symbol on the stole.

Numerous places in Geelong embroider the name and symbols on, Class Concepts or GIM - Geelong Industrial Monogramming have been popular choices over the years.

Lastly Gracious Glyphs www.graciousglyphs.com.au  in Belmont, can supply blank stoles and alter or create a customised stole using iron on vinyl. They also sell iron on symbols if you require a subsequent symbol or provide an iron on service if you require.
